An inspector asks
HMI Schools Director Sean Harford is a keen tweep. That means he enjoys Twitter and engages the profession through his tweets. He has recently been part of the Ofsted team presenting the new framework as well as attending a variety of education conferences.
He recently tweeted this question:
Q, mainly but not exclusively for HTs or aspiring HTs: what could Ofsted do to incentivise you to take on the l’ship of an RI or SM school?
— Sean Harford (@HarfordSean) May 27, 2015
Whilst the question isn’t directed at governors at all, it might be useful for us to consider what would encourage excellent candidates to apply for some of our more challenging schools.
In this article Bill Lord, a primary headteacher responds to Sean’s question. Do read the comments that follow as they add to the body of answers. Which would you agree with?
