Parent governors – a vanishing breed?
The recent White Paper (see White Paper) made mention of the role of parent governors. In some articles, it has been assumed that parents will no longer be members of governing bodies. It may be that closer reading would give them a seat at the table providing they have the skills that the school and it’s governance needs.
